You can buy a Transfare ticket when your journey includes travelling on more than one type of transport in Tyne and Wear, eg Metro and bus, or bus and ferry. Transfares allow you to buy just one ticket for your journey in Tyne and Wear. In general a Transfare allows you to make a journey of two legs on different types of transport eg bus and Metro, Metro and ferry, rail and bus, and bus and bus in some areas. You must start the second part of your journey within 90 minutes of buying your ticket.
