Minister for Transport Gladys Berejiklian said train customers will soon be able to see exactly what time their train is leaving before they enter CBD stations. Electronic departure screens showing a summary of all train services leaving the station are being installed at Wynyard, Central, St James and Kings Cross station entrances. “The new screens will help customers make decisions on how best to use their time as they plan to catch the train,” Ms Berejiklian said. “At certain stations, the distance from street entrance to the station concourse can be a few minutes’ walk so providing the information at street level will make a real difference for people – it’s the kind of out of the box thinking that hasn’t happened in the past. “If customers can see before entering the station when their train is due, they can make better use of their time while they wait for the next t...
