Have your say on Erskineville Road intersection upgrade at Newtown Roads and Maritime Services (RMS) is inviting community feedback on a proposed upgrade to the intersection of Erskineville Road and Wilson Street at Newtown which aims to accommodate longer buses to service the area. “Route 355 buses can experience difficulty turning right from Wilson Street to Erskineville Road because the current intersection often has waiting traffic queuing on Erskineville Road,” an RMS spokesperson said. “RMS is inviting public comment on the intersection upgrade in preparation for Transport for NSW’s plans to replace the 10.5 metre long buses with newer 12.5 metre long buses. “Community members are invited to make written comments by Friday 17 May on the proposal to: Widen the road on the western side of Erskineville Road to provide a short length of left turn lane and a new footpath....
