Head of TfNSW to retire #nswpol #tfnsw

Minister for Transport Gladys Berejiklian and Minister for Roads and Ports Duncan Gay today announced that Transport for NSW Director General Les Wielinga had decided to retire on September 24 this year. Ms Berejiklian and Mr Gay acknowledged Mr Wielinga’s extraordinary contribution and commitment to the public service over a career spanning 41 years. “I would sincerely like to thank Les for his outstanding contribution over four decades and wish him well for the future,” Ms Berejiklian said. “Recently Les oversaw the establishment of the first ever integrated transport authority in this state’s history in Transport for NSW – one of many great achievements in a career that is to be admired and applauded. “Few people have ever made such a contribution to transport and infrastructure – Les has left a lasting legacy for the people of this state.” Mr Gay praised Mr Wielinga’s ...
