Decision is awaited in the cases involving Oakwood Travel Services and Red Rocket Bus, of which Philip Higgs is a Director. Traffic Commissioner (TC) Beverley Bell is considering action against Oakwood Travel Services, trading as Oakwood Travel; together with an application by Oakwood to increase the authorisation on its licence from eight to 14 vehicles; and an application by Red Rocket Bus for a new six-vehicle licence. She is also considering the repute of Oakwood’s former owner and Transport Manager (TM) Frank Steele and an application to nominate David Hughes as TM on the Oakwood and Red Rocket licences. When the Oakwood and Red Rocket cases came before the TC, neither Mr Steele nor Mr Hughes were present, and Mr Higgs said that Mr Hughes was in hospital. The TC adjourned the proceedings.
