When Keith Elliott, President of the Clifton All Whites Football Club , sadly passed away in February this year, the residents of Clifton were both shocked and saddened. As the longest serving member of the club, for 45 years Keith had dedicated his life to the teams, players, their families and supporters – demonstrating a passion and commitment to the local community rarely seen. It’s for this reason that Nottingham City Transport suggested paying a touching tribute to Keith and his family as part of its ongoing ‘search for a Clifton Hero’ competition. “This month, we’re unveiling our latest bus named after a ‘Clifton Hero’ and we’re honoured to name a Navy Line 48 bus, number 965 after Keith Elliott,” says NCT Marketing Manager Anthony Carver-Smith.
