Most bus services in Newcastle city centre will operate as normal during planned political rallies in Newcastle on Saturday, 28 February. Passengers should be reassured that Nexus and bus companies have planned carefully with police to ensure the city's public transport will continue to operate close to normal. Bus some routes in the Newgate Street (passing the Gate), Bigg Market and Gallowgate areas will see delays and diversions to allow two seperate political rallies to take place. The city is also likley to be busy because Newcastle United is playing at home. kicking off at 3pm.
