The Mid-Anglia Coach Operators Association’s annual dinner dance on Saturday (21 February) raised £630 for charity. The evening at the Bedford Lodge Hotel, Newmarket, sponsored by Backhouse Jones, Plaxton and Volvo, welcomed 110 guests. The charity raffle was in aid of the MAGPAS Helimedix. Founded in 1971, the Mid Anglia General Practitioner Accident Service (MAGPAS) uses doctors and paramedics who volunteer their time, and provides an air ambulance. The cheque was presented to ‘flying doctor’ Dr Anne Booth, by the Association’s Chairman, Andrew Richmond, MD of Richmond’s Coaches of Barley, Hertfordshire.
