Tony Sheldon commented; “Detailed analysis of a major survey of 715 truck drivers has shown that Coles is amongst the worst offenders when it comes to pressuring truckies in their supply chain. An appalling 55% of truck drivers surveyed in the Coles supply chain admit to feeling pressure to drive too fast. This is far in excess of the trucking industry average of 26%. Survey results have also shown that 82% of drivers surveyed in the Coles supply chain have considered leaving as a result of client pressures.”
