The Olympic Torch is coming to the North East and will be a spectacular sight, with a parade of vehicles passing through ahead of the torch bearer. On Friday 15th June The Torch Relay will pass through Blyth, North Tyneside and into Newcastle City Centre culminating in an evening celebration on the Newcastle Gateshead Quayside. On Saturday 16th June The Torch Relay starts at The Sage Gateshead and makes it way around South Tyneside, Sunderland, The Angel of the North, the Tyne Valley, Consett and Durham culminating in an evening celebration in Durham City.
