We've joined forces with #Gotham Parish Council to make a defibrillator more accessible

Nottingham City Transport and Gotham Parish Council have joined forces to ensure their life-saving Defibrillator is now much more accessible to the local community. Originally funded by NCT through the East Midlands Ambulance Service and the British Heart Foundation, the Defibrillator has been located within NCT’s Gotham Garage for the last two years. As part of the scheme, NCT also paid for Gotham-based driver, Chris Nesbitt, to train and qualify as an East Midlands Rapid Community Responder – enabling him to travel to the scene of the emergency and use the device if he arrived before an ambulance. Although Gotham Garage is open and staffed most of the time, Nottingham’s award-winning bus operator was keen to ensure this essential piece of equipment was fully-accessible 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
