Market Street, Lewes, 11 and 12 August

Market Street in Lewes is to be closed from 12noon on Saturday 11 August until end of service on Sunday 12 August for emergency gas works to take place. During this time, all southbound buses towards Brighton will be able to operate as normal, however northbound buses will need to operate via the A27 and Cuilfail Tunnel and serve Lewes Tesco in place of Lewes Bus Station. The rest of the town centre will not be able to be served on northbound journeys, except on short service 28 journeys between Brighton and Lewes where buses will continue to the bus station from the Cuilfail Tunnel to recommence journeys southwards. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.
