APTA has an open solicitation for its Local Coalition Grant program. Learn more and apply by 6/10.

Projects should focus on grassroots advocacy efforts that can help achieve specific state and local public transportation goals. Projects that support local or regional funding initiatives intended to help support public transportation are highly encouraged. Other activities could include: activities supportive of national efforts to obtain additional revenue support at the federal level; activities in partnership with local Chambers of Commerce or other prominent business organizations that support public transportation and community mobility; and efforts to educate decision-makers about policies favorable to public transportation. Grant recipients are also expected to attend the NAPTA Advocacy Day meeting at the APTA Legislative Conference and be vocal advocates with their respective federal representatives on federal issues related to public transportation.
