A reshuffle sees three TCs moved as Wales gets its first dedicated full-time TC Wales’ part-time Traffic Commissioner (TC) Nick Jones will become full-time thanks to £210,000 of Welsh Government funding that will also cover establishing an office in Wales along with three bilingual support staff. Mr Jones becomes as the first, full time TC for Wales The new Welsh Government funding will be added to Mr Jones's existing budget from the Department for Transport. It means that Mr Jones becomes as the first, full time TC for Wales. Previously the Wales TC post has been covered by the West Midlands TC - a position that the Welsh Government has long criticised. Mr Jones will vacate his role as TC for the West Midlands when he takes up the appointment on 1 October.
