Travel concessions for young people and students

@delvecchiojulie depends how you mean it. Children over 4 must have (concession) tickets to ride on buses.

Infants (0-3 years inclusive) are entitled to free travel on rail, regular timetabled bus services and most ferry services. Children (4-15 years inclusive) are entitled to half fare on regulated public transport services. Senior secondary students (16-18 years) who are holders of NSW secondary student cards are entitled to half fare concessions. Mature aged secondary students (19 years and over) who are issued with a NSW Tertiary Student Concession Card are entitled to half fare concessions. Tertiary students who are eligible are entitled to half fare concessions are available on most timetabled services.
