Major change to red 9 route from Mon 7 Jan 2013 with southern loop reversed. Full story and times here

From Monday 7 January 2013, as a trial, we are reversing the loop at the southern end of the red 9 route around Shinfield Road, Whitley Wood Lane and Whitley Wood Road. This means that if you currently catch the bus between Halls Lane and Tamarisk Avenue, you will need to use the stops on the opposite side of the road from this date. You can see the new route map here You can download the new timetable here A table of affected stops can be found below if you are unsure as to whether your stop is on this part of the route. Buses will run between Central Reading and The Maidens on Shinfield Road as normal. However, after leaving The Maidens, they will now continue straight on instead of turning right down Whitley Wood Road. They will then turn right onto the B3270 and follow the reversed route.
