Latest News: NSTA Recognizes Industry Excellence at Awards Ceremony

The National School Transportation Association presented several awards on Tuesday, recognizing industry excellence at an awards dinner as part of their annual meeting in South Carolina. There were several different awards given out, including the Golden Merit Award, The Thomas Built Buses Continuing Education Grant, NSTA's Green School Bus Fleet Certification Program, The Go Yellow, Go Green Award, The Hall of Fame Award and the Meritorious Service Award. The Golden Merit Award, first given out in 1969, celebrates excellence in service, safety and community responsibility. This year’s recipients are: Lucille Ayotte, Waterbury, Connecticut, First Student, Inc. John Benish, Jr.,Oak Brook, Illinois, Cook-Illinois Corporation Durham Topeka Customer Service Center, Durham School Services Paul Quinn Mori, Huntington Station, New York, Huntington Coach Corporation Brian Rutford,...
