Election Countdown: read Patrick McLoughlin's speech on Transport policy in the new government

In the run-up to the General Election, Campaign for Better Transport, with Pinsent Masons, is organising a series of speeches by the Secretary of State for Transport and transport spokespeople in the other two main parties. The speeches aim to set out transport policy for the next Parliament. On 14 January 2015 we hosted the first of these speeches, by the Rt Hon Patrick McLoughlin MP, Secretary of State for Transport (pictured). You can see the text of Patrick McLoughlin's speech here . Speeches by Baroness Kramer, Minister of State for Transport and Michael Dugher MP, Shadow Secretary of State for Transport are upcoming. These events are invitation only but we will post the text of their speeches here. To help us press for better, more sustainable transport in the next Parliament and beyond, please join our mailing list .
