Upgraded pedestrian level crossing at Meetinghouse Lane, Dunmurry

Upgraded pedestrian level crossing at Meetinghouse Lane, Dunmurry Translink NI Railways today marked the final stages of its upgrade work at Meetinghouse Lane pedestrian level crossing in Dunmurry. The work to replace the gates at the Meetinghouse Lane pedestrian level crossing with a new automated lifting barrier system began in February 2012. The new system is designed to provide increased accessibility for pedestrians with prams and people using mobility devices, as they will no longer have to manually operate the gates. Gerard McAtarsney, Route Manager, NI Railways said, “The safety of our employees, passengers and members of local communities is a key priority for Translink NI Railways.
