Leicestershire to cut 12 rural bus services, leaving more people isolated #BusRescueMission

Martin Abrams, Public Transport Campaigner at Campaign for Better Transport, said: “For some people the Rural Rider bus service provides the only link between the isolated villages and local market towns. Leicestershire County Council’s decision to cut buses is a false economy as there are huge social, economic and environmental benefits in having a good local bus service.” Notes to editors Campaign for Better Transport is the UK's leading authority on sustainable transport. We champion transport solutions that improve people's lives and reduce environmental damage. Our campaigns push innovative, practical policies at local and national levels.
